On Tuesday, just as New Orleans Entrepreneur Week is hitting its stride, The Idea Village will team up with Tulane University and The Aspen Institute to offer 16 of New Orleans' most creative entrepreneurs the unique opportunity to participate in an exclusive, world-class leadership event, with the ultimate goal of getting these business leaders to apply their energies, creativity and resources to building a better society.
New Orleans is at a tipping point; the city is in unchartered waters, as we embark on an historical time. An entrepreneurial community has taken root and now is time to determine how we can launch our city, our community to the next level. For 60 years, the Aspen Institute has been helping business leaders from around the globe to engage with their peers in discussion about their leadership, about their view of a "good society", and about their personal legacy. This exclusive seminar will engage New Orleans leaders in that same discussion, helping them get up-to-speed and ready to connect with CEOs from around the world.
Facilitated by Aspen Institute Trustee and Executive Vice President Peter Reiling, the entrepreneurs will apply the time-tested Aspen technique of "text-based dialogue" - using the writings of some of the world's greatest thinkers as a springboard to a focused dialogue.

The Human Resources Management Association of Greater New Orleans (HRMA) is the New Orleans-area chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). It provides professional development, networking, and community involvement opportunities for its more than 300 members. It will combine a general introduction to trademark, copyright, trade secret and patent laws in several legal systems with a perspective on types of agreements used to transfer intellectual property rights.
