Entergy Discovery Stage

In recent years, our region's universities have made national headlines for their innovative partnerships with industry. Loyola University New Orleans recently partnered with NASA's Stennis Center to take a Stennis-developed technology and build a business plan for its commercial use, enhancing the use of NASA intellectual property in commercial applications. Likewise, Tulane University and LSU Health made headlines when they selected the New Orleans BioInnovation Center as a statewide implementation partner for a newly launched initiative to augment business development efforts and accelerate the commercialization of life science research, from university labs to biotechnology startups in the region and to existing companies around the world. This panel of university leaders will be moderated by Lacy McManus of GNO, Inc., who has spearheaded the New Orleans Regional Innovation Alliance (NORIA), a consortium of higher education, industry and economic development organizations.
