Ochsner Innovation Stage
We all know about the gender pay gap: women get paid 80 cents on the dollar that men get paid for the same work. But did you know about the gender investment gap? Women-founded companies get two cents of each gender investment dollar. Even gender-diverse founding teams only get another 12 percent. All-male teams get 86 percent of all venture capital invested. This is despite recent data showing that returns are better for both women-only and gender-diverse founding teams than for male-only ones. This situation is even worse for founders of color.
This panel will present three approaches to fixing the gender investment gap.
