As Chief Executive Officer of Hispanicize Media Group, Manny Ruiz is responsible for leading the development and execution of the company’s long-term strategy by maximizing revenues, achieving profitability and creating shareholder value.
Manny is the visionary and founder of the Hispanicize platforms that include the annual Hispanicize Event, DiMe Media, Hispanic Kitchen, Hispanicize Wire, and the Hispanic PR Blog. Under his direction, the yearly Hispanicize Event has become the nation’s leading event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in social media, marketing, and entertainment.
Prior to launching Hispanicize, Manny was President of Multicultural Markets and Hispanic PR Wire for PR Newswire. Prior to PR Newswire’s acquisition of Hispanic PR Wire, Hispanic Digital Network and LatinClips in 2008 for $5.5 million, companies he founded, Ruiz was Chairman and CEO of HispaniMark, the parent company of these three businesses.
Throughout his illustrious 26-year career in the fields of communications, journalism and business, Manny has won numerous national awards and recognitions, including the PRSA Silver Anvil Award of Excellence, the PR Week Health Campaign of the Year, the Pulitzer Prize for Community Service and the Keys to the City of Miami. Manny’s alma mater, Miami-Dade College has also inducted him to its Hall of Fame.
A proud Cuban-American, Manny was born and raised in Miami where he resides with his wife and four children. He has a bachelors of arts degree in history from Florida International University and is passionate about road tripping with his family and about writing film scripts for future film dreams.
