Megan is the Director of Quality & Performance Improvement at Ochsner where she oversees subdivisions dedicated to improving patient outcomes and patient experience. She was published in APIC in 2015 after leading the team to decrease medical device-related blood infections in neonates, and presented at the 2012 AORN national conference on her review of standardized data metrics where it was awarded Best Clinical Management. She has presented in various settings related to leadership, engagement and education. Megan is a Registered Nurse with a Masters in Business Administration. She was awarded Nurse of the Year by the Central NY Business Journal, Leader of the Quarter at Ochsner, and recently recognized as one of the 2017 Women of the Year by New Orleans CityBusiness. She was selected by the Louisiana Board of Nursing as a mentor in the Nurse Mentorship program for emerging nurse leaders, and is faculty for the Ochsner Leadership Institute for the course "Building Effective Teams." In her spare time she coordinates projects alongside her husband with his company, IdeaKraft NOLA, which is currently working with a community non-profit aimed at developing leaderships/STEM skills in female and minority students. She is passionate about embracing an entrepreneurial spirit, even when working in a corporate setting, and sharing lessons learned from her own experiences. Megan lives in the French Quarter of New Orleans with her husband and two small children and loves art projects, New Orleans jazz and adventuring in the city.
