Oleg Gredil Assistant Professor of Finance

Oleg is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Tulane University Freeman School of Business and a Research Fellow with the Private Equity Research Consortium. He received his PhD in Finance and MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and moved to New Orleans in 2015.

Oleg conducts research on financial intermediaries with a primary focus on private equity and Hedge funds. His papers on private equity fund performance manipulation and the spillover effects of hedge fund activism have been accepted for publication at the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Finance, and featured in the NBER Digest, Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation. His current projects examine the informational advantage of private investors in public markets, the performance of venture capital and buyouts through the lens of modern asset pricing models, and the determinants of the cost of capital for privately held firms.

Oleg teaches Venture Capital and Private Equity to graduate and undergraduate students. Prior to pursuing graduate studies he worked for six year in investment banking and portfolio management in Russia.
