Biography

Robbie is a designer who works as a ceo and investor. His focus is on creating the behaviors, systems and processes that drive social innovation in the sectors of natural food, finance, e-commerce, and media. He manages his holdings through portfolio company Innisfree.

He is ceo of Good Spread, a nationally distributed nut butter company launched from a non-profit, activating a $2 billion market to eradicate Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM).

Robbie cofounded entrepreneur hub the Idea Village, brand studio Trumpet, healthy fast-food concept Freedom Pizza. Portfolio companies include Porchjam, Spiffly, Hempower, Rework Jobs, Grok+Banter, Interaction Associates, and Welcome to College.

He has collaborated globally on systems thinking, culture change, and innovation-based projects with Google, Zappos, PSFK, the Unreasonable Institute, Village Capital, Defy Ventures, Future Partners, Boomtown, Propeller, New Hope, Silicon Prairie, Sustainable Brands, and the U.S. State Department.

His companies have twice been named to Fast Company’s “Top-10 Most Innovative Companies in the World” (Trumpet and Naked Pizza).

Robbie splits his time between his hometown of New Orleans and Boulder with his wife of 30 years, Patricia.
